Wow! My upper body is so sore today. I am probably a weirdo, but I love that sore feeling. To me it shows that I've done something. Ask me tomorrow though and I probably won't be loving it too much (when I can't lift my arms or my baby).

Nate had a really unsettled night and I was so exhausted that I didn't even eat dinner. Matt came home from gym and I was already asleep (7.30pm) and Nate was still squirming in his cot. He fed at 4.30, 6.30, 9, 1 and 4 which is pretty good considering his mood - but it was the time to settle him and get him back to sleep which took forever. Looking like a zombie is normal, right?

 

Every time I woke to feed Nate I could feel my muscles getting more sore (DOMS). Surprisingly though it's my triceps that are the worst and they were the one part of my body that I couldn't feel while training. I thought for sure my chest would be insanely sore because I could hardly push through my last set yesterday.

So today I thought I'd post one of those amazing 'instagram quality' photos showing my breakfast this morning (toast, avo and smashed feta), but let's be real... I've been awake since 5am - had a crying baby most of the morning and no idea what's up with him.. I tried to have a shower and that a lasted a whole 2 mins. I ended up feeding Nate and by 8.30 (3.30hrs later) he finally settled and went to sleep. Who knows how long he'll stay asleep for?

So now while I'm eating my Breaky, I'm making lunches, dinner and pre workout meals. One of my favourite quotes is: 'Failing to prepare is preparing to fail!'

 

My goal to exercise this morning went out the window, but I WILL be doing something today. Even if it means heading to the shops at lunch time and doing some 'fat laps'! I need to buy some more gym equipment so what better way to get in some walking.

This is what you guys can do too.. don't use the excuse that it's raining or too hot! Find somewhere that you can train and make it a goal for as little as 15mins a day.

The best way to get motivated (for me) is to get dressed in your clothes and put your shoes on. You're ready to go, so there's no stopping you!
